Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026Life Hack Tools ("we", "us", or "our") sets forth this Privacy Policy regarding the handling of user information in the applications ("the App") we provide.
01Information We Collect
Our apps may handle the following information. What is actually handled varies by each app's features; see "Data Handled Per App" below for details.
- User-provided information: Data necessary for app functionality (text, numbers, dates, photos, etc.)
- Location data: Collected only by apps that provide location-based features, and only with the user's permission
- Automatically generated identifiers: Anonymous IDs generated within the app (these do not identify a specific individual). Apps that use a backend use this anonymous ID to sync and transfer data
- Diagnostic information: Crash logs and performance data (to improve app stability)
As a rule, our apps do not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers. No account registration is required; where sign-in is needed, only an anonymous ID generated on the device is used. However, some apps (e.g. Rete's features for shops) use an email address to create shop-owner accounts. In Yane, if you choose to link an Apple or Google account, we receive that account's email address (it is not shown to your housemates). See "Data Handled by Each App" below for details. In addition, when you contact us through the contact form or in-app feedback, we receive the email address (and name) you enter as your reply address so that we can reply (see "Information Received Through Contact and Feedback" below).
02Data Handled Per App
The types and purposes of data handled by each app are listed below. None of our apps sell or share user data with third parties. All communication is encrypted (HTTPS / TLS).

*1 Peckish sends location data to an external service (Google Maps Platform) to search for restaurants. This is processing required to provide the feature; we do not sell or share information that identifies users.
*2 Rete is a stamp-card app for shops; only shop owners create an account with an email address and password (visitors need no account and use only an anonymous ID). Images selected by shops are uploaded to cloud storage. The current version does not obtain location data.
*3 Pitto sends location data to an external service (Google Maps Platform) to search and compare parking and display walking routes. Your saved parking record (coordinates, notes, photos) is stored anonymously in Supabase to sync across devices. We do not sell or share information that identifies users.
*4 Batto stores your game, team (including player names) and schedule records on your device and on Firebase (Google Cloud Firestore, Tokyo region). No account registration is needed: the app automatically creates a hidden anonymous ID for each device, and only the holder of that ID can read or write its data on the server. You can stop saving to the server in the app's settings, and delete all of your data on the server at any time. Your name as the scorer is stored only on your device. A game you share can be viewed by anyone who knows the URL. You can stop sharing from the "Shared scores" screen in the app. If you create a "Team page" for your own team, its team name, game results, schedule and player stats (including player names) are published on a page that anyone who knows the URL can view (it is kept out of search engines). You can turn off a team page from the team screen in the app.
*5 Ruga uses your location only on your device, and only to pick nearby bus stops and calculate the walking time to your stop. Your location is never sent to a server and is not saved. Ruga also works if you allow only approximate location. Timetables are fetched from Ruga's timetable server, which we run on Google Cloud; these requests carry no information about you, such as your location or the stops you have chosen. The timetable server does not record where requests come from, such as IP addresses, but because of how network connections work, your IP address may remain in the cloud provider's (Google's) logs for a certain period. To investigate problems in the app, diagnostic information such as error details, the app version and the type of operating system is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). It contains no information that identifies you and no location data, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. To check whether an app update is available, a randomly generated install ID is sent to Expo (EAS Update, 650 Industries, Inc.). On your device, Ruga saves the stop and direction you chose, your walking pace setting and a temporary copy (cache) of the timetables; these are removed when you delete the app. Only if you send a message yourself from the in-app inquiry screen, your message, the app version and build number, the type and version of your operating system, your device model, your language and your contact details (only if you enter them) are sent to us in order to respond to you. Ruga has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. For details, see the Ruga Privacy Policy.
*6 Zobo stores plan names, dates, departure times, destinations, checklist items, and check times only on your device, and does not send them to our servers. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device, and the app does not obtain a push notification token. “Export my data” creates a file and opens your device's share sheet only when you choose it (it is never sent automatically). To check whether an app update is available, the app sends a randomly generated install ID, the app version, the type of operating system, and similar technical information to Expo (EAS Update, 650 Industries, Inc.). There is no crash log reporting, usage analytics, advertising, account, or tracking. See Zobo's Privacy Policy for details.
*7 Yane stores the home name and currency, members' display names, records of shared expenses, settlements, chores and shared household supplies (stock and shopping list), comments and House notes (chat), and photos (optional) on Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage, Tokyo region). No account registration is needed; the app uses an ID from Firebase Authentication's anonymous sign-in. Linking an Apple, Google, LINE or Zalo account is optional (Zalo only when using the app from within Vietnam); if you link one, that account's ID (plus the email address for Apple and Google, or the display name for LINE; only the ID for Zalo) is stored in Firebase Authentication. Only members of the same home can view and edit its data. To improve the service and design our pricing plans, we may compile statistics such as the number of members in each home and the number of records and photos, in a form that does not identify any home or individual (home names, display names and record content are not included). There are no ads and no third-party analytics tools. For details, see the Yane privacy policy.
*8 Taali stores your setlists (songs, sections and order) and settings only on your device, and does not send them to our servers. Only when you search for a song, the search terms are sent through our API (Cloudflare Workers) to the YouTube Data API (Google). Search terms are not linked to you and are not stored on our server (results of the same search are cached for a short time, and IP addresses may be processed temporarily to limit access). Videos play in the official YouTube embedded player, so YouTube may show ads and collect viewing data on its own (the app itself shows no ads and does not save or convert audio or video). To check whether an app update is available, the app sends a randomly generated install ID and similar information to Expo (EAS Update, 650 Industries, Inc.). There is no account registration, ad SDK, tracking, or analytics SDK. See the Taali Privacy Policy for details.

03Purpose of Use
Collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
- Providing app functionality and necessary processing
- Data sync and transfer between devices
- Improving app quality and fixing issues
- Responding to inquiries and feedback
04Data Storage
Data is stored in the following locations:
- On device: Local storage within the app
- Server: Cloud servers (may include data centers located in Japan)
05Third-Party Disclosure
We do not provide, sell, or share user information with third parties, except as required by law.
06Data Deletion
Users can delete local data by uninstalling the app from their device. If you wish to delete server-side data, please contact us using the information below.
07Information Received Through Contact and Feedback
Messages sent through the contact form on our website, and through in-app feedback (in apps that offer it), pass through our intake service on Cloudflare (form.lh.tools) and arrive in a private channel in our Slack workspace. We receive the following information.
- Contact form: The type of inquiry, the app concerned (optional), your name (optional), your email address (required, for our reply), your message, the page language, and the URL of the page you were viewing before opening the form
- In-app feedback: The type (feedback / bug / question / data deletion request), your message, a reply email address (optional; only if you enter one), app name, app version, build number and runtimeVersion, OS (iOS / Android) and OS version, your device's language setting, and your device model
- Added on receipt (both): The time received, the country it was sent from (determined by Cloudflare from the IP address), and a Cloudflare request ID
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated submissions. Information handled by Turnstile is subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy. The form also uses the number of seconds between opening the page and sending, only to detect automated submissions; it is not stored.
The sender's IP address is used to limit how many messages can be sent in a short period and, for the contact form, for Turnstile verification. It is not included in what reaches Slack, and we do not store it.
We use what you send only to respond to your inquiry or feedback and to investigate and improve our apps, and we keep it for as long as needed to handle it. We never sell or provide it to third parties.
08Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as needed. Any changes will be published on this page.
